Overview: Shangarh – Sainj Valley located at an altitude of 1233m in Great Himalayan National Park, Shangarh in Sainj Valley is a nice place to visit in Himachal Pradesh. It’s popular for its snow peak mountains, nature, and culture. Shangarh is an extremely offbeat place. You won’t find many tourists around.
It’s a Hidden Gem, Not much people have explored the beauty of this place. Undoubtedly Nature’s delight, Shangarh will greet you with It’s bordered deodar trees. Beyond which snow peaks and glaciers are seen. Apple trees are spread around the village. Also, the Shangarh Meadows is at the center. There’s a temple with a slate roof on the meadows.
However, the natural wonders and heritage of Sainj like the Shangarh Meadow and Pundrik Rishi Lake would only get more attention and visitors with time. The lush green pasture – a meadow which is home to the Deity Sangchul Mahadev
Cows are left around on the meadows to graze. In the evenings, a few old men gather around for some chit chat on these meadows. The walk from Shangarh to Barshangarh goes through villages like Goshati and Darari. You cross small streams and several wildflowers.

Itinerary
Good Morning, Open your eyes in the lap of Mountains, Shangarh is 488 km from Delhi, We will be reaching Shangarh by 10 am and having
Tea and Breakfast on arrival.
Check-in in your allotted hotel and relax a bit. After lunch, we will explore the Shangarh and famous Shangarh Meadow where you will see the most magnificent green grassland, surrounded by snowy mountain peaks shrouded in stormy clouds and on the corner stood the three-tiered Shangchul Mahadev Temple.
The wooden enclosure at the beginning of the grassland was used as a resting place for the devtas and seemed to be newly built. and then get back to the hotel by evening and then of course some party, fun dancing and musical night in the hotel.
Wake up to a refreshing morning in the mountains.
After breakfast, we will start the walk from Shangarh to Barshangarh which goes through villages like Goshati and Darari. You cross small streams and several wildflowers. At a certain turn, the village of Barshangarh lies in front of you, across the valley covered in a rampant wild growth of “bhang”.
It now feels like a walk through a dense coniferous forest and after all these nature-friendly and mesmerizing views we will be reaching to another hidden gem in front of you is a beautiful Barshangarh waterfall, cascading down into a cold pool.
The sound of water now overpowers the bird calls. It’s just you, this waterfall, the blue sky, and lush greenery.
Get back to the hotel for Dinner, and some Bonfire.

Have your breakfast, We will be leaving for Pundrik Rishi Lake which is 8 km far from our property, located deep inside the Sainjh Valley, which is a part of the Great Himalayan National Park.
It is considered to Sage Pundrik and is considered sacred by the locals.
Get back to the property, Pack your bags.
